More about Kathrin
Born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, Kathrin always loved to move and dance and be very active. She started practicing yoga with her mom at a very early age and she has been on the mat for several years. Kathrin lived in UK for more than 13 years and she recently moved to Spain in the beauriful region of Galicia, just one hour drive from Santiago de Compostela. Kathrin is a Dentist since 2003, a Hypnotherapist since 2005, Nlp practitioner (Neuro- Linguistic Programming) since 2007 and a Cranial sacral therapist since 2018.
Kathrin completed her Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in India at the well know Ayuryoga Eco Ashram. She loves to do handstands, just about everywhere and she loves tree pose too, and the fact that most asanas are representing animals or nature. Passionate about crystals, essential oils, singing Mantras and Shaminic work. Kathrin loves cacao, she makes delicious raw chocolates and sing in ceremonies and she plays the cello.
More about Olga,
After 20 years in the Luxury Hotel business and many travels around the globe I thought it was time for a new journey and I began practicing yoga and I have been on the mat ever since. Yoga is teaching me how to pause, to breath and connect with my true self, discovering each practice more about the body and mind connection, about being present, here and now. I received the 200hrs yoga certification in India and I’m a beginner student of Ayurveda. I create journeys to inspire other travellers in their quest of finding joy, balance and well-being while discovering the world with us!
It’s an ongoing journey that I share through Amorescapes.
Accommodation and Facilities
Our retreat centre is set in 2.5 acres of grounds in a valley filled with olive and almond groves.
Accommodation consists of six twin rooms and one double room all with private ensuite bathroom. All rooms have been renovated to a high standard using locally sourced materials, to create a luxurious yet simple and understated feel. A large outdoor courtyard provides the main communal eating space, and several outdoor terraces offer a place to relax in the sun or the shade.
Situated at the heart of the complex, the swimming pool acts like a colourful meeting point – with the blue water combining with the green olive trees and the red soil.
Food plays a central role in both our yoga practice and life. We believe food should be varied, unprocessed and nourishing to promote energy and wellbeing. The food we serve is predominantly plant based with some vegetarian options. All produce we source and grow at YogApulia is local, seasonal and organic wherever possible.
Refreshments are also available throughout the day and include tea, coffee, water & fruit.
The international airport at Brindisi is approximately 40 minutes drive away and Bari is further to the north approximately 55 minutes drive. Hiring a car in Puglia is relatively inexpensive and provides a great way to explore the surrounding countryside, local historical towns and beaches. Both Bari and Brindisi airports have a large selection of hire car companies including Avis and Hertz. It is recommended to book a car before your arrival. Alternatively, we can arrange a taxi to collect you on your arrival.
