Align and harmonize with nature
with Emiliana Gil Ocanto & Olga Gazzola
25th September - 1st October 2021
A yoga retreat is the occasion for resetting, while combining a dream destination, deep yoga practices, delicious food and rich Human exchanges. It’s a way of drastically detox from our day-to-day life and nourish and replenish ourselves differently. A retreat is the choice of inner growth, in an environment that stimulates the return to your own Self. Specially after the events that we have faced lately, it’s a real privilege to gather in-person in a space of love and respect.
About the Retreat
Our intention with this 7-day retreat, is to combine this exceptional environment with two daily yoga practices that will allow you to deeply nourish yourself, while aligning and harmonizing with nature. To complete these practices, we will meet for two lectures on the five elements (pancha bhuta) and on the five bodies (pancha kosha).
In the yoga practices, Emiliana will guide you through the 5 elements to explore the mirroring existing between our body and the universe. We’ll go deeper and deeper each day towards our True Essence. The Hatha Yoga practices that we’ll explore together include kriyas (jala netī, trātaka), prānāyāma (breath work), āsana (postural work), meditation, mantra chanting and Yoga Nidrā.
Olga will propose cultural visits to surrounding villages such as Cisternino, Martina Franca, Alberobello (an UNESCO World Heritage site), Ostuni & Locorotondo, explore local markets, organize some country walks surrounded by millenary olive trees and take a dip in the blue waters of Polignano a Mare and Monopoli. But you if you just want to lay by the swimming pool while reading a book you can totally do so. It’s your time to enjoy and just be. Together.
We are thrilled and grateful to welcome you at YogApulia

More about Emiliana
Yoga has been in Emiliana’s life since her childhood, when her mother took her along to yoga practice with her Sivananda teacher. Ever since, yoga was a powerful sacred place where she could nourish and resource herself. After growing up in Venezuela, she moved to Paris, France, where she studied and worked in the film industry, keeping always a yoga practice, trying different styles from Bikram, to Ashtanga Vinyasa, to Hatha. Feeling more and more attracted to this tradition, she finally started her training as a Hatha yoga teacher with the FFHY, and went on training with a 200 hour YTT in 2016, a 300 hour YTT in 2017, Prenatal and Afterbirth Yoga with De Gasquet method, and not as far as January 2020 she was back in India training with one of her teachers, Yogi Trupta.
More about Olga,
After 20 years in the Luxury Hotels business, Yoga came into my life and changed completely. I have a 200hours YTT certificate from Ayuryoga Echo Ashram in India and realized that my strength is connecting people, organizing, sharing my love for travels and for yoga through Amorescapes. I love to create unique yoga retreats experiences, journeys to inspire other travelers in their quest of finding joy, balance and well-being while discovering the world!
Accommodation and Facilities
Our retreat centre is set in 2.5 acres of grounds in a valley filled with olive and almond groves.
Accommodation consists of six twin rooms and one double room all with private ensuite bathroom. All rooms have been renovated to a high standard using locally sourced materials, to create a luxurious yet simple and understated feel. A large outdoor courtyard provides the main communal eating space, and several outdoor terraces offer a place to relax in the sun or the shade.
Situated at the heart of the complex, the swimming pool acts like a colourful meeting point – with the blue water combining with the green olive trees and the red soil.
Food plays a central role in both our yoga practice and life. We believe food should be varied, unprocessed and nourishing to promote energy and wellbeing. The food we serve is predominantly plant based with some vegetarian options. All produce we source and grow at YogApulia is local, seasonal and organic wherever possible.
Refreshments are also available throughout the day and include tea, coffee, water & fruit.
The international airport at Brindisi is approximately 40 minutes drive away and Bari is further to the north approximately 55 minutes drive. Hiring a car in Puglia is relatively inexpensive and provides a great way to explore the surrounding countryside, local historical towns and beaches. Both Bari and Brindisi airports have a large selection of hire car companies including Avis and Hertz. It is recommended to book a car before your arrival. Alternatively, we can arrange a taxi to collect you on your arrival.
