About the Retreat
Start the day with an optional run through the Puglian countryside with Brian followed by gentle hatha flow yoga with Shannon. After morning tea/coffee Lama Brian will skilfully guide you with meditation teachings, techniques, practices and discussions to deepen your yoga practice.

At sunset enjoy a meditation to close the day followed by yin yoga to relax the body and mind further. Rest in the extraordinary sounds of exquisite crystal bowls in savasana to prepare you for a restful sleep after dinner
You’ll have ample time after brunch to relax poolside in the warm sun, wander aimlessly through olive groves and the rich terrain, and if you’re feeling ambitious, a local trek to the nearby seaside. Treat yourself to a relaxing massage, meet with new friends, take time to read, nap, reflect or journal quietly in peace on your own.

Lama Brian is our co-founder and meditation teacher, and has practiced, studied and taught meditation his entire life. He is the real deal - profound, genuine, kind and funny. Brian shares life teachings with you, techniques of meditation and gives you guidance according to your experience and understanding. He brings authenticity and humour to the practice. You may find him under a tree singing mantras with his accordion or ukelele.

Shannon is our co-founder, yoga teacher and healer. She takes you on your personal journey of healing and connecting with your body and mind with her calm and caring style. Shannon can often be found scouring the earth for beautiful places for our retreats, or tucking you in for savasana. Her dedication to your well-being is a unique and special gift you can give to yourself.

Accommodation and Facilities
Our retreat centre is set in 2.5 acres of grounds in a valley filled with olive and almond groves.
Accommodation consists of seven twin rooms all with private ensuite bathroom. All rooms have been renovated to a high standard using locally sourced materials, to create a luxurious yet simple and understated feel. A large outdoor courtyard provides the main communal eating space, and several outdoor terraces offer a place to relax in the sun or the shade.
Situated at the heart of the complex, the swimming pool acts like a colourful meeting point – with the blue water combining with the green olive trees and the red soil.
Food plays a central role in both our yoga practice and life. We believe food should be varied, unprocessed and nourishing to promote energy and wellbeing. The food we serve is predominantly plant based with some vegetarian options. All produce we source and grow at YogApulia is local, seasonal and organic wherever possible.
Refreshments are also available throughout the day and include tea, coffee, water & fruit.
The international airport at Brindisi is approximately 40 minutes drive away and Bari is further to the north approximately 55 minutes drive. Hiring a car in Puglia is relatively inexpensive and provides a great way to explore the surrounding countryside, local historical towns and beaches. Both Bari and Brindisi airports have a large selection of hire car companies including Avis and Hertz. It is recommended to book a car before your arrival. Alternatively, we can arrange a taxi to collect you on your arrival.
