About the Retreat
Join Inna and Martha for a week-long retreat in the peaceful and lush setting of Yogapulia, south Italy. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, the centre provides an idyllic location to delve deeper into the practice and take time out to slow down…
The mornings will start with a silent meditation followed by Mysore style self practice. The afternoon workshops will include Yin Yoga, asana/yoga technique and an introduction to simple pranayamas. There will be ample time for exploring the area, cycling, walking, beach excursions or simply lounging by the pool.
6 nights accommodation
2 delicious vegetarian/vegan meals daily, to include breakfast/brunch and evening dinner
Light snacks and refreshments including, a selection of teas, coffee, water & fruit
Wi fi internet connection
Daily assisted self practice with Martha and Inna
4 afternoon classes covering Yin Yoga, Asana technique and Pranayama.

More about Inna
Inna was introduced to yoga in her late teens, and began teaching in 2008. With a background in media, anthropology, and a stint in PR, she eventually decided to trade her desk for a yoga mat, and practice in India, where she returns every year to study, travel and learn.
Inna holds a Level 1 KPJAYI Authorisation from R. Sharath Jois in Mysore and has been assisting Hamish Hendry at Astanga Yoga London since 2011.
More about Martha
Martha was born in the US and moved to London in 1993. She started yoga in 1994 after her father died. She was hooked after her first class and has been practicing ever since. Martha has been practicing with Hamish Hendry since 2000 and has had a dedicated daily practice for over 19 years. She is regularly tuning in to ensure she can practice forever!
Martha believes her practice is her best teacher and she has also completed John Scott’s Ashtanga teacher training, Yin Yoga teaching intensive with Norman Blair and Yoga for PTSD training with Heather Mason of the Minded Institute. She also completed the teacher intensive with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor. Martha currently assists Hamish.
Accommodation and Facilities
Our retreat centre is set in 2.5 acres of grounds in a valley filled with olive and almond groves.
Accommodation consists of seven twin rooms all with private ensuite bathroom. All rooms have been renovated to a high standard using locally sourced materials, to create a luxurious yet simple and understated feel. A large outdoor courtyard provides the main communal eating space, and several outdoor terraces offer a place to relax in the sun or the shade.
Situated at the heart of the complex, the swimming pool acts like a colourful meeting point – with the blue water combining with the green olive trees and the red soil.
Food plays a central role in both our yoga practice and life. We believe food should be varied, unprocessed and nourishing to promote energy and wellbeing. The food we serve is predominantly plant based with some vegetarian options. All produce we source and grow at YogApulia is local, seasonal and organic wherever possible.
Refreshments are also available throughout the day and include tea, coffee, water & fruit.
The international airport at Brindisi is approximately 40 minutes drive away and Bari is further to the north approximately 55 minutes drive. Hiring a car in Puglia is relatively inexpensive and provides a great way to explore the surrounding countryside, local historical towns and beaches. Both Bari and Brindisi airports have a large selection of hire car companies including Avis and Hertz. It is recommended to book a car before your arrival. Alternatively, we can arrange a taxi to collect you on your arrival.
