More about Elena
Elena Fulton, originally from Italy, is a Pilates and Yoga teacher based in Surrey, England.
She first moved to the UK in 2003 to pursue her career as a professional dancer at London Contemporary Dance School and later at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, in Leeds.
Elena had an exciting and fulfilling dance career touring nationally and internationally with various UK based dance companies and teaching young professional dancers. In 2011 following a long-term injury, she decided to take a break from stage life, to focus on her rehabilitation through Yoga and Pilates.
She then went onto obtaining a comprehensive Pilates certification with Alan Herdman and Body Control Pilates® and she specialises in injury rehabilitation, and Pre/Post-partum.
She gained a Hatha Yoga teaching diploma at Yogacampus in London, studying with Graham Burns, Liz Lark and Raquel Alves amongst others. She is also a qualified Relax and Renew®, restorative yoga teacher after completing her training course with Judith Hanson Lasater. Elena teaches privately at her home studio and in local studios in Surrey.
More about Iris
Iris Osk Gudsteinsdottir is Iceland born and bred with an international flair after living abroad for over a decade. Iris studied and worked in Italy as an Interior and Lighting Designer for several years before moving to England and qualifying as a professional Feng Shui Consultant in London. Iris currently lives in Surrey, England, where she works as a Professional Feng Shui consultant, Interior Designer and Sound Healing practitioner.
Iris first came across sound healing trough Tibetan singing bowls whilst searching for ways to deepen her own meditation practice. She absolutely fell in love with these magical singing bowls after experiencing how they impacted her own wellbeing and provided a relief from a minor health problem.
She soon began buying her own bowls to use in her personal meditation practice until finally qualifying as a sound healer with Charlie Christie from Thyme with Charlie.
Iris started incorporating sound healing into her Feng Shui consultations as she has seen how well they complement each other and how relatable they are. Metal sounds are considered a cure in Feng Shui, where it is used to clear away negative or stagnant energy within spaces. In a similar way the sound from the metal Tibetan singing bowls can aid in clearing blockages within the body, each singing bowl has a note and frequency which corresponds to a specific chakra (energy centre) within the body. Iris provides both private (1on1) and group Tibetan singing bowl sessions in Surrey, England.
Accommodation and Facilities
Our retreat centre is set in 2.5 acres of grounds in a valley filled with olive and almond groves.
Accommodation consists of seven twin bedrooms all with private ensuite. We have renovated all rooms to a high standard using locally sourced materials, and are aiming to create a luxurious yet simple and understated feel. A large outdoor courtyard provides the main communal eating space, and several outdoor terraces offer a place to relax in the sun or the shade.
Situated at the heart of the complex, the swimming pool acts like a colourful meeting point – with the blue water combining with the green olive trees and the red soil.
The international airport at Brindisi is approximately 40 minutes drive away and Bari is further to the north approximately 55 minutes drive. Hiring a car in Puglia is relatively inexpensive and provides a great way to explore the surrounding countryside, local historical towns and beaches. Both Bari and Brindisi airports have a large selection of hire car companies including Avis and Hertz. It is recommended to book a car before your arrival.
